Alvy Early, head softball coach at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, will host a position and fundamental skills camp July 10-12 at the Monticello Sports Complex.

Each camper will receive individual instruction in all phases of the game of softball. The position and fundamental session will familiarize the campers with the basic fundamentals needed to play all on-field positions. The hitting session will provide every camper with extensive instruction in the mechanics and techniques of hitting. The pitching/catching session will give catchers a working knowledge of their position through drills and personal instruction, while the pitchers will work on the absolutes of pitching fundamentals.

Camp instructors include Early, the 2012 Great American Conference coach of the year, Kent Early, head softball coach at Bentonville High School, Heidi Cox, former UAM All-American and head coach and Benton High School, Eric Ryan, head coach at Bauxite High School, B.J.
