Brock Jenkins pitches Dawgs past RYK&L

Brock Jenkins allowed one run on three hits in a complete game effort as the Republic Finance Dawgs bested Rankin, Yeldell, Katz & Lowery 4-1 in Dixie Youth Baseball.

The Dawgs (3-5) built a 2-0 lead with single markers in the first two innings. RYK&L broke up the shutout in the top of the fourth, before the Dawgs added insurance runs in the fourth and fifth.

Jenkins struck out nine and walked two.

Republic out-hit the Attorneys 6-3 as Jenkins, Kenton Norman and Nathan Crawford doubled and Miller Stutts, Cole Kinnaird and Timothy Reynolds singled.

Braxton Fatheree tripled, Kenyon Beasley doubled and Dylan Gandy singled for the Attorneys (3-5).

Fatheree struck out six and walked three on the mound for RYK&L, before giving way to Beasley in the fifth inning.
