Peak Performance Track Classic
Deanna Brandley swept the sprints to lead the City of Bastrop Track Club at the Peak Performance Track Classic, held Saturday at ULM's Brown Stadium.
Competing in the Bantam Division, Brandley won the 100m (15.35), the 200m (32.59) and the 400m (1:10.88).
Also in the Bantam Division, Allysa Dismuke placed third in the shot put (51-07) and the javelin (22-11).
Jakiya White won the 800m (2:41.29), finished third in the 400m (1:09.94) and took fourth in the long jump (10-02) to headline Bastrop's effort in the Midget Division.
Nautica Caldwell (8-11) and Miasia Davenport (8-03.75) placed fifth and sixth in the long jump.
In the Intermediate Division, Jessica Gray won the 400m (1:01.92) and was third in the 200m (27.18).
In the Young Division, Desiree McHenry was clocked with a winning readout of 12.55 and was runner-up in the 400m at 1:03.85.
Bastrop scored in four events in the boys Bantam Division.
Barrion Brandley led the local contingent by placing third in the 200m (38.91) and sixth in the 100m (17.92) and the long jump (7-02).
Cartavious Allen, Isaiah Farrell, Cameron Jackson and Rayshard Lynch were clocked at 1:06.75 in the 4 x 100m relay.
Farrell was fifth in the long jump (7-11), while Lynch was sixth (7-05).
In preparation for the upcoming Hershey's State Meet, the Bastrop Track Club will host its annual intrasquad meet Saturday at Morehouse Junior High, starting at 9 a.m.
