An investigator with the Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office resigned Tuesday after an audit discovered money missing from a fund used to make drug purchases.


An investigator with the Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office resigned Tuesday after an audit discovered money missing from a fund used to make drug purchases.

 

Sheriff Mike Tubbs said Lt. Chris Balsamo, a 14-year veteran with the department, submitted his resignation after being confronted about $100 missing from a safe at the North Louisiana Drug Enforcement Bureau, an agency of the Sheriff’s Office to which Balsamo was assigned.
