  • The Enterprise is asking longtime residents of Morehouse Parish to share their memories for several historical stories for Pride 2010, slated for publication in the last week of February.
The Mer Rouge Theatre was open in the early 1950s and burned sometime later. We want to hear from anyone who attended a movie or was employed there.
A Coca-Cola bottling plant was built near the old Bastrop High School in 1927. We want to hear from anyone who was employed there or might know when it was closed. We are also looking for photos of the plant.
A Spudnut Shop opened on North Franklin Street in Bastrop in 1952. We want to hear from anyone who remembers this shop, was employed there or has photos of the business.
Readers who have information to share regarding any of the above stories should contact staff writer Wes Helbling at 281.4421 or by email at whelbling@bastropenterprise.com.
The life and times of Dr. William V. Garnier M.D. Readers are asked to share any memories they may have of Dr. Garnier, Garnier Clinic or Garnier Stables. Please contact staff writer Connie Priest at 281.4421 or by email cjpriest39@yahoo.com regarding this story.
