The Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit put an end to a methamphetamine lab in the Beekman area yesterday.
Sheriff Mike Tubbs said following an investigation, deputies conducted a search of the residence of Jimmy and Cassidy Goodman at 5125 Harlon Road Monday afternoon.
They discovered a meth lab, numerous components used in the manufacture of meth and a “sizable quantity” of the end product.
Tubbs said the deputies also found individuals in the process of attempting to destroy or move the evidence.
Jimmy Goodman, 35, and Cassidy Goodman, 33, were charged with operating a clandestine lab, conspiracy to operate a clandestine lab, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of anhydrous ammonia.
Deputies also arrested Michael Chain, 37, 18282 Farrar Road. Chain was discovered hiding in a wooded area and attempting to conceal evidence. He was charged with operating a clandestine lab and conspiracy to operate a clandestine lab.
All three suspects were booked into Morehouse Parish Jail to await bond.
Tubbs said the investigation is ongoing and there may be additional arrests in the future. He appreciates the hard work of the narcotics officers.
