The Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two men Monday morning on drug warrants.

Willie E. Moore, 11708 Johnson School Road, Mer Rouge, was arrested on a warrant for conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine and James D. King, 1018 Roberts,  was arrested on warrants for distribution of cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

These arrests follow a drug bust late Friday night in which the MPSO in conjunction with the Bastrop Police Dept., the La. State Police, Monroe and West Monroe Police Dept. and La.

Probation and Parole executed seven search warrants on residences in Morehouse and Ouachita Parish and a traffic stop in Ouachita Parish.

Several narcotics related arrests were made during the course of the evening and Moore and King were two of the remaining suspects to be located.

They were transported to the MPSO Monday morning and arrested on the warrants.

Late Monday afternoon, Dominique Barnett, 26 Karen Lane, Monroe turned himself in to deputies. He was wanted on a warrant for distribution of cocaine, with a bond set at $500,000.
More arrests are pending in this investigation.
