Baton Rouge, LA- As Fire Prevention Week comes to a close the State Fire Marshal challenges residents of Louisiana to make fire prevention a priority every week. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the official sponsor of Fire Prevention Week for more than 90 years, kicked off this year’s national campaign on October 4th, with the theme, "Hear the Beep Where You Sleep: Every Bedroom Needs a Working Smoke Alarm!"
