The movie shown was "A Fistful of Dollars" starring Clint Eastwood in honor of the movie's 50th anniversary. Also in honor of the first spaghetti western in the library's series, spaghetti was served as the main refreshment along with garlic bread, dessert and punch.

Plans are in the works for a kayak float, courtesy of Chemin-A-Haut State Park.

Park Manager Russ Brantley said the professionally guided tour will be limited to 25 people who will gather at the park and be shuttled to the Old Berlin Road bridge to embark on the float, which will end at the park, where lunch will be served. LeGrand Nursing Home residents were given a history lesson on Friday.

A few of the residents dressed up as famous women in history and presented facts about each famous woman's life and accomplishments.

Kathleen Dew held the American flag up for the audience while representing Betsy Ross. Ross is credited with making the first American flag.

Fisher is originally from Emerson, Ark. Her parents also had a creative side. Her mother crocheted, did crewel work, sewed and made flower arrangements from the flowers she grew in her garden. Fisher's father was a story teller and also gardened. When Fisher was still in school, her parents and teachers encouraged her to draw and paint.
